Consumer Beat & Winning Surveys - Warning

To the left you will see an example of The Consumer Beats surveys. They seem like they would be worth your opinion, I mean a chance to win $50,000 is an okay bargain for one question and of course personal information..... isn't it? Well I think it would be if that personal information was known only by Consumer Beat but that is not the case hear. It states in their Privacy Policy the following:

The Controls You Have On The Information You Share

If you do not want us to share contact, postal, e-mail address and demographic information with third party marketers, we can add your name to our "do-not-share" list. Please click here to send us a request to be added to this list In addition, you may request to be unsubscribed from our list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link contained within the e-mail message delivered by TheConsumerBeat.com, contacting us via e-mail at Unsubscribe@TheConsumerBeat.com or writing to us at TheConsumerBeat.com, 4509 South 143rd Street, Suite 9, Omaha, NE 68137 with a request to be removed. Unsubscription requests are processed within 72 hours but because of time lags due to scheduling, you may receive one or two additional e-mail messages that are already "in the pipeline." To remove yourself from third-party mailing lists, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided or contact the third-party directly with your request for removal.

Third Party Services

From time-to-time, we may partner with other parties to provide specific services. It may be necessary to share names, or other contact information with a third party(ies) to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Sale, Merger or Reorganization

TheConsumerBeat.com may transfer, sell or assign information concerning your use of this Site, including without limitation, personally identifiable information that you provide and other information concerning your use of the Site, to third parties, as a result of a sale, merger, consolidation, changing control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganization or liquidation of TheConsumerBeat.com.

Obviously they are not very strict on their third party sharing. I know not everyone that enters into these sweepstakes "surveys" read the Privacy Policies because they assume since its a survey company that is hosting this survey, but this is not true. It has been found that the parent company of Consumer Beat collects and sells email addresses. Also if you check out Winning Surveys Privacy Policy its exactly like the Privacy Policy">Consumer Beat's Privacy Policy, word for word and their layouts are very similar as well. I would not trust either Consumer Beat or Winning Surveys. I remember when I was a newbie and did their surveys, the spam came almost immediately, not only tons of "surveys" from their companies but advertisements for other companies that I didn't even sign up for. I ended up having to get a whole new email address because no matter how many times I unsubscribed from their companies as well as the third party companies they sold my email address to, I still got tons of spam! If you want to still do their "surveys", which I personally think are a waste of time, you should start a whole separate email address for them and other companies like them.

Here is a list of the companies that are "survey imitators" and/or sell email address:
  • Brand Survey Panel
  • Consumer Expression
  • Consumer Promotion Center
  • Consumer Beat
  • My Elite Rewards
  • My Insider Deals
  • My Select Gifts
  • Net Panel
  • Opinion Direct
  • Rewards Gateway
  • Savings List
  • Survey Networks
  • Winning Surveys
If you are a member of a Gpt site like Treasure Trooper or SwatCash and complete offers you will run into these companies, I would just suggest using a separate email address - Don't give out your home phone number or telemarketers will most likely be calling you everyday...... been there done that. You can get a free voicemail/phone number, more info about that here.

Qualified for a $30 Product Test!

Just a heads up for women that are a member of Esearch, they recently sent out a survey invitation for a $30 product test if you qualify! This is one of the reasons I love Esearch, they may not send out tons of surveys or product tests but when they do they are usually worth a lot. Here is part of what the email stated about the product test:

This first survey is the qualifying survey. If you qualify, you will be asked to try TWO products at home (which will be mailed to you). Once you use the products you will complete a second and third follow up survey online. And once these three steps are complete (qualifying, product testing, follow up surveys) you will receive $30.00 (which will be paid to this email address via Paypal.com by October 20).

So ladies go check your email and see if you were send the invite, but you better hurry since there will only be approximately 350 women participating in this study! Oh and also they will be paying you via PayPal so you won't have to wait a month for a check to get to your mail box. Remember when you test two products it will usually take twice as long as testing one product, but compensation usually doubles as well. Good Luck to whoever gets invited and hopefully you qualify!

Advisory Panel Survey

Donow Research

Donow Research provides data collection services that help companies understand their potential influences in the marketplace. Currently spearheaded by Jeff and Shellie Donow, working together since 1996, they have completed thousands of projects nationwide. They have built a reputation of integrity and high standards that has satisfied hundreds of clients. This loyal following is a testament to the company's dedication and commitment to surpassing the highest of industry standards

A couple days ago I received an email from Donow Research stating that they were looking for someone to conduct surveys for them in Sioux City, Spencer, and Lemars, Iowa ASAP - the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, August 16-17, or Sunday and Monday. The job would consist of asking customers (on behalf of the store) to participate in an 8-10 minute survey and in return they receive $5 for their participation. My pay would be approximately $150 per day (9-10 hours). Well unfortunately that email went to my spam instead of my inbox, I guess I forgot to add them to my contacts.

I just wanted to through this market research company out there for others to check out since they give you pretty good earning opportunities. They have been around for a while so they are a very reputable company. Although I haven't personally been paid from them, but others have, here are their statements.

"I have worked with this Company before doing a Youtube study and then a google study. They pay VERY FAST. I received both payments within a week of the study for a total of 325."

"I have done several things with Donow. They are a very good company. They pay good and quickly. They also do a lot of focus groups in Florida and I believe some other states. They are affiliated to WAC research and Savitz Field and Focus."

"I've did other focus groups and stuff for them and never had any problems. They also pay promptly."

i.think Inc's New Look

There is a new look to i.think Inc, it no longer looks outdated; They have made it look simple and sophisticated. If you are a member then you know how the site looked before.

This is a great improvement, before it looked like the website wasn't maintained very well and when registering you would probably wonder if you are even going to get surveys from them. That won't be the way new members will perceive it now, it will probably improve the any doubts regular members have as well.

Baker Street Solutions Payment

Baker Street Solutions is a research panel, they aren't as well known as others but pay fairly well compared to them. Surveys are sent to you depending if your profile fits that particular survey. Sometimes you will get two surveys a month and other times you will get a survey every two months. I get a survey about every 5 weeks, you probably think it doesn't sound worth it if your only getting one survey once a month or so but the surveys generally last about 10 minutes and the compensation is more than fair most times.

They pay via Amazon Gift Cards and I believe that is the only payment method they have at this time. I have been paid a couple times by them and it's always been with an Amazon Gift Card.

I'm not relaly looking foward to it but it must be done eventually. Anyhow I thought I would just post a couple sweepstake surveys for you guys, they are like 5 minute surveys - very short. There will be 10 $25 prizes randomly chosen amongthose who participate in this survey - this pertains to both surveys.
